# Mobile first self custody

Today's crypto users live on their smartphones. Yet most hardware wallets still depend on a desktop, a USB cable or a separate device to carry around. Cypherock X0 was designed differently. It is built around the phone you already own, which is what makes it the world's most affordable secure hardware wallet.

With Cypherock X0, everything happens from the X0 Wallet App on your iOS or Android smartphone:

* Create a new wallet or import an existing one
* Send and receive crypto
* Swap tokens
* Connect to dApps through WalletConnect
* Manage your portfolio across up to 4 wallets

## No desktop. No cables. Just tap.

The X0 Cards talk to your phone over NFC, and are powered by your phone when you tap them, so there is nothing to plug in or charge. For everyday transactions, all you need is your phone and any one X0 Card:

## Open the X0 Wallet App

Enter the transaction details.

That's it. The X0 Card signs the transaction inside its secure element, and the X0 Wallet App sends it to the blockchain.

## Mobile-first doesn't mean your phone holds your keys

Your phone stores one encrypted shard of your wallet, which on its own reveals nothing about it. Every security-sensitive operation happens inside the EAL6+ certified secure element of the X0 Card you tap. Your phone never reconstructs your wallet, derives keys or signs. ## What you need

* An iPhone running iOS 15 or later, or an Android smartphone running Android 9 or later, with NFC
* An internet connection
* Your 4 X0 Cards
